Sometimes on my way to the office I look intently at the faces of common people waiting in the bus queue or running towards ones desired destination at break-neck speed. For some, time seems to be just running out while for others there is all the time in the earth. The day passes and in the evening while coming back I set eyes uponb a different set of people, busy as usual but this time scurrying back home after work. A day passes by, we grow old by a day, the same routine continues. Is this what we call the urban mechanical life style? Where are going, what we are trying to achieve, where do we want to go& where is the end.? Are we just a small nut in the giant clogwheel of human civilisation? Do our small existence really matter? What would have happened if all these busy people who perceive that they are indispensible were not there? What if I were not there? We clamour for rights, previleges, honour, money, recognition but what really matters in the end? |
